February 22, 1950: Kwame Nkrumah sentenced to 3 years in prison

Kwame Nkrumah was tried from February 14-22nd, 1950 after his arrest on January 22nd following the state of emergency declared by the colonial government. On February 22nd, 1950 he was sentenced three 1-year terms in prison.
