May 6, 1919: German Togoland mandated to Britain and France

On May 6, 1919, a part of the adjoining German territory of Togoland was placed under British administration by a League of Nations Mandate. At the end of World War I, the Allied Supreme Council decided that these German territories indeed would be granted as mandates to France and Britain.
